Nakupuna Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer IV to provide software performance testing, data collection and analysis, subject matter expertise, and mentorship supporting the execution of a large size, multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP). Nakupuna Consulting is extending contingent offers for this effort in anticipation of contract award, which is expected in May of 2024. The Quality Engineer IV will conduct quality testing on the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) deliverables to ensure optimal performance for the Army client. The Quality Engineer IV will be responsible for assessing software functionality and performance through both manual and automatic testing. The Quality Engineer IV will gather and compile test metric data. Using this data, they will draft reports on the functionality and performance of the software for AMP and will distribute these reports to other senior managers. These performance reports may also be delivered to the Army client. The Quality Engineer IV should be comfortable working in an agile environment, resolving complex problems if and when they arise. While the Quality Engineer IV will be capable of solving the most complex problems without much assistance from other team members, collaboration with the various Agile Teams will be a common aspect of the position, and the Quality Engineer IV should be comfortable with data sharing and information sharing across teams. As a senior engineer, mentorship of junior staff-members will also be part of this position, and the Quality Engineer IV should be willing to coach team members across the AMP program.

Reviews software requirements and specifications to develop testing strategies for a product or release.
• Codes reusable test functions or components.
• Executes manual as well as automated tests to assess software functionality and performance using multiple systems, platforms, environments, or browsers.
• Identifies, logs, and tracks defects.
• Reports technical issues to development or product management teams and verifies fixes.
• Compiles, update, maintains, and distribute test metrics.
• Performs work with a high degree of latitude.
• Handles the most complex issues.
• Possesses solid working knowledge of Quality Engineering processes.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
• May act as lead or first-level supervisor.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC and/or private sector preferred. Must have experience with Software Testing applications such as JIRA, ALM. PeopleSoft, Workday, or other ERP experience a plus.

Skills/Qualifications: Certifications in IAT Level II and SAFe for Teams preferred. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Needs great interpersonal/communication skills. Able to translate customer requirements to team goals.

Clearance Requirements: This position requires a current Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Work Location: Work location will be in the D.C., Maryland, Virginia region.
